Simply put, the information you consume plays a big role in shaping who you are—how you perceive the world, what things you know about the world, what biases you present in dealing with that world, what you value as a result of your worldview, and so forth. So one of life's most important skills is being intentional and careful about what sources you choose for your information diet. Most people, especially that use social media, are quite careless when it comes to this decision. They allow countless random accounts to influence their own worldview (even if its reinforcing existing notions).
