I camped in site 14 here while driving back from my [[24.04A New Orleans]] trip. I arrived very late at night and only saw the campground before leaving the next morning. However, it was a pleasant and cheap campground, with good sites and a showerhouse—one of the few camping options in this corner of the state (it's just outside of Carlsbad). Not sure if there's much to do here except perhaps play in the lake, which seems out of place in the otherwise "barren" desert.
