A touristy spice farm. You start with a tour of the various plants growing here, with a guide and a helper who cuts off various samples for you to smell. Then you stop for a coconut demonstration, which involves someone cutting coconuts for you to drink from, then scaling out some flesh for you to try. In a very hokey turn, the guy then climbs the coconut tree, while loudly singing, a process that the draws out for far too many minutes. You’re then asked for tips before moving on to the cosmetics area, where you can sample and, of course, buy. Then it’s on to the spice stand to buy spices. The final bit is a tasting area, which was the most interesting, and included some fruit, teas, and coffees.
This was an included activity in our [[Nomad tour in Africa (Jo-burg to Zanzibar)]], but I would not recommend unless you *really* enjoy spices.
