Due to our current IHG Okatiunum Elite status, we got a free upgrade to a king suite. It has been the nicest room of our 100 day adventure, to date at least. The room wasn’t the largest, but was well apportioned between two main areas with a nice widowed region and a solid bathroom. The pool was nice, but underutilized. The restaurant was fine, but rotated between menu meals (where you could order your own meal) and a burger (which never once appealed to us, especially for the inflated price). If you wanted food during the buffet days, you were forced to order room service, pay an extra MUR250, and eat in your room—even though the food was being cooked by the normal restaurant. It was…frustrating. All in all, though, I’d stay here again.
