Most travel memories are things that [[Memories are haphazard|happen somewhat by chance]]. Some random details—whether important or inconsequential—are remembered, while others are not. Simply put, [[Memories are not guaranteed]]. Travelers may retain many memories of a trip ([[Memories are forgotten|for now]], at least), but many do so in a mostly passive way. You may not even notice what you no longer remember. But you can take control over this process and make memory a *choice*. If you want to remember something from a trip, you can simply cause it to happen: just [[§ 1.3 - Capture|Capture]] it, [[§ 1.4 - Reflect|Reflect]] on why it's important to remember, and add it to [[§ 1.5 - Remember|Remember]] in the future. This means you can radically change your relationship with travel memories simply by implementing a [[Remembering system]] and thereby [[An investment in Future You|invest in Future You]].
