Capturing video during your trip can be another way to [[Quick capture your trip notes|quickly capture]] many of the [[Note the details|rich details]] that are at the core of a meaningful [[§ Journaling MOC|journal]]. However, unlike [[Capturing sounds]], video can be tricky to get right—and can require a lot of equipment, too. If you're recording video from your phone or camera, or perhaps an action camera, you probably won't get the cleanest shot. But, you likely won't distract yourself too much in trying to create a David Attenborough-quality documentary, either. Informal video is great; it's a fine way to capture some of the context of the moment that note taking sometimes cannot. If you're primarily shooting video for an external audience—perhaps for social media, or travel video, or a professional project—then you're probably using quite of bit of equipment and are focused more on the craft of capturing quality video than enjoying the experience you're having. In short, you're working—not experiencing.
